Yes, most certainly… and they are all over the place on both the American and Canadian side of Lake Ontario and far on up into Georgian Bay.
Next to Swordfish and Sailfish in areas of the Caribbean, Costa Rica, and San Lucas – Canada is right up there at the very top among anglers.
The Lake Salmon and Trout up there are huge. And the best of them will take you out for some fantastic Lake Salmon and Lake Trout fishing (in season of course). Many of these babies are 60 lb plus range and your battle to land one will last an hour or more.
In Georgian Bay, most fishermen go for Walleye (probably the very best tasting fish in the world) and the job there (if your fishing for Walleye) is to keep from catching a pike that’s bigger then you are.
Then of course (since you are in the area) a fly in fishing trip to the northern parts of Canada (that can only be reached that way) offer tremendous fishing and a great time with friends or family in some cabin on a lake that is isolated by about 400 miles from civilization.
Just google Canada Fishing, and over 49 million choices will pop up.
