I wrote this poem years ago just before the Government Dispersed with the Three Mile Fishing Limit of which led to the end of our Inshore waters and our future in the Small Inshore Boat Fishing Industry as we had no Powers to Protect where we fished, Progress is not always a good thing, but of coarse this is only my opinion! I must point out that ther are still Crab fishing boats working today! Hope you enjoy!

Aye that’s Correct”, But it’s too late now, it’s been going on for years now and all the Cod has been cleer’d up Inshore, It’s not the bigger boats fault eather”, The Government Scrapped the 3 mile limit years ago now so the Damage is long done! Ther are still Small boats fishing for Parten’s though, so it’s not all Doom!
I just go to the sea for pleasure now, It has a Strong hold on me.
Thank’s MissPickletoes!

So…do you mean now the commercial fishing boats come in closer and fish out the waters, and destroy the small fisherfolks’ living???? Sad…
