Posted on Oct 05, 2009 under Fishing Boats | 3 Commentsi want the paint that you see on those bass boats that almost blind you there so shiny with all the metal flake in it. where do i get it, whats it called, and is there a special way to paint my boat with that kind of paint.
Its called Metal Flake, and is BELOW the finish that is known as gel coat. Probably can contact any auto body shop and ask them about metal flake paint. What you are talking about trying to do is kinda hard but not imposable. The Metal Flake paint you are talking about on bass boats in put on while the hull is being formed, it is not a surface paint.

Those bass boats you see the pros riding around in are all CUSTOM PAINTED.

It’s called "metal flake". I would contact the dealer and ask for a supply from the manufacturer.
