Panama City Beach is great, if you like white sands, and the smaller waves on the gulf side. There are plenty of beachfront hotels, including the Sandpiper Resort Hotel. It’s relatively inexpensive, has a pool, a hot tub, a tiki bar on the beach, and a nice restaurant just across the street. My wife and I stayed there while we were honeymooning.

If you like the Atlantic side, there are few that compare to Daytona Beach, which has more golf courses than any other beach town. I haven’t been there, but I had a lot of college friends who spent spring break down there every year.

Check out Destin… The beach is just pretty with crystal white sand and emerald water. Neat hotel to stay in…. http://www.destinwest.com/ – It has a lazy river and pool if you should get tired of the salt water. There are several places to stay if that one doesn’t suit you. For things to do…. Big kahuna’s water park (http://www.bigkahunas.com/) is a lot of fun. The shopping is great with all kinds of shops and Destin Commons – an outlet mall. In Fort Walton, just west of Destin, the GULFARIUM (http://www.gulfarium.com/) is quite an experience where you can see Dolphins, sea lions, otters, sharks, penguins, and more. They have an interactive program with dolphins. Some of these places offer a discount on their tickets through their websites.

In my opinion the Panhandle of Florida (Northwest Florida) has the prettiest beaches in all of Florida. I don’t think you could go wrong staying anywhere from Pensacola to Panama City.
