Would you join an online fishing community?
Posted on Sep 17, 2009 under Fishing Reports | 5 CommentsI am building an online community for Arizona anglers. It features fishing reports, information on fishing spots, forums, catch gallery, and the ability to earn points.
I want to see if there is any interest in a site like this.
Anyway, you can view the site at FishnArizona.com
You are welcome to join if you are interest, however, there are many features that are still in the works and you may encounter an error or two.
Let me know what you think..
Thanks
Sam
Good hear there are active anglers online. I will have to take a look at some of these sites to see how they do things. I looked for sites here in Arizona, but all I could find were a few simple forums, usually from a national website or informatinal websites.
Thanks GT… let me know what you think.
Texasflats…. Im glad to hear your site has taken off. I agree that is the members that make a community site, its just a matter of getting them and keeping them.
Oh and I actually build this site on Drupal…
Wrong area for me, but yes I belong to two on line fishing communities now as well as one boating.
If done properly they can be very informative & helpful for people.
Here are two I am active in.
This one you will have to sign up before being able to go to the forum, been active here for over 2 yrs.

This one you can look around, but will not be able to post unless you sign up. Been active in this one for 4.5 yrs.

The site looks great, is that Joomla?
There is definitely a demand for quality regional fishing sites. What makes a quality site? In my honest opinion it’s the members!
I set up a site in 07 about flats fishing in TX, my original idea was a place for my friends and myself to talk about our specific style of fishing, and as time has passed we’ve discovered there are a lot of people here in TX. that enjoy fishing the flats because it’s taken on a life of it’s own.
