I’m looking for a fishing guide who does Bow Fishing trips, any suggestions?
Posted on Jul 28, 2009 under Fishing Trips | 6 CommentsI’m more specifically looking for carp fishing, but it HAS to be with a bow, and I can’t seem to find one anywhere!! I don’t care what country it is in!
Hi Buddy. not sure where you are from but we can arrange that where I am. I have been a professional fisherman for 34 years and now run a charter company here in Queensland Australia. as well as private guided trips and tuition. We have done many different types of specialised trips but also have bow hunted for many different species both saltwater and freshwater. I f you would like to know more let me know and I can fill you in on what type of adventure is available. and what times of the year for different species. It may rattle you what you find out so be sitting down. All the best from Gazna

I think if anyone saw you trying to shoot a carp in Britain with a bow and arrow you would be quickly in there being eaten by the carp! Try fishing for them with a rod and line. They are a very friendly and sporting fish.

You just don’t find too many people doing that anymore! Here is a link to a place here in Texas:

I did it once when I was a kid, on Lake Austin, I didn’t get any but the buddy I went with hit a 13lb Alligator Gar!
Good Luck!

you can legally use a bow for carp fishing in Massachusetts, you must have a fishing license, and in the central part of the state is the Connecticut river where there are BIG carp, you could ask the local tackle shops there for a local guide who might be able to help you.Springfield Ma. borders the river you could search there for more.
