What is your favorite freshwater fishing lure?
Posted on Sep 07, 2011 under Freshwater Fishing | 13 CommentsI’m doing a poll to see what the public’s favorite fishing lure is. Is it a crankbait? A spinner? Please let me know. And please be specific to color and size and what not.

I mainly fly fish but when I’m not i like the good old mepps spinner in the original black color, when I’m fly fishing and its a lure i use a woolly booger.

I’m a fly fisherman, and my favorite fly would have to be a size 6 Black wooly bugger.
I tie this with a black nickel beadhead or conehead, or unweighted.
Tail is black marabou, with a few strands of pearl krystal flash. Body is black chenille, black hackle.
This fly works for Bass and trout. smaller sizes are good for panfish. Olive and brown work great too, but back is by far the best.
I have caught more fish with this than maybe all other flies combined.
If you aren’t a fly fisherman, you can still use this on a light spinning rod, using a casting bubble.

My favorite bait for Bass hands down is a Lunker lure Triple rattle back jig, 3/8 ounce, black and blue color with an Uncle Josh #11 pork rind trailer also in black and blue.
Many , Many lunker Bass have came into my boat with this killer combo.
Please practice catch and release.

My favorite fishing lure for bass is whatever they are biting on at that particular time. But if you are asking what I like to fish with the best it would have to be the soft plastics, the brush hog, lizard, senko . but the ribbet frog by Zoom lures gives me the biggest thrill of them all to catch a fish on it.
