How’s the saltwater fishing in the FL Keys in February?
Posted on Nov 20, 2009 under Saltwater Fishing | 3 CommentsI’m trying to decide where my next fishing vacation will be.
Forget shark that not possible during February but fish the same way for blue fin. Snook and Redfish will be very hungry check the season on those I cant remember off the top of my head. Silver and speckled trout will be very hungry also (check the rigs on that too). On the flats there will be alot of very hungry fish.
Good luck!

Fishing in the Keys is always great. You will not find a place where you can do more types of fishing than in the Florida Keys. I would suggest looking into Hawks Kay on Duck Key.

HIt or miss like anywhere around here unless you’re in a boat and constantly moving. And even then your chances are 50% of what the summer brings. Seagrasses aren’t as prevalent and bait moves into southern waters.
Good luck but don’t have high expectations. Winter fishing in Florida is like deer hunting in the north. You may go several days without a decent hookup.
