FWIW, the “threshold” for “Made in USA” on Penn reels is at $249.
For reels less expensive than that, the economic reality is that Penn could either make them offshore, or simply stop making them.
However, that still leaves 34 different models [not counting color and bail options] that are made in the US.

I don’t know about American made anymore. I just purchased Penn 112H2 sanaor special from Amazon.com and it was made in China. I don’t know who owns Peenn Now, but I hope I see to see and old one or New one with Made USA to buy.
