Walleye Fishing in Missouri?

I am wanting to do some walleye fishing in Missouri. I have never fished them before I am going to be fishing them in a river the current river to be exact…. Does anyone know of any good baits and good techniques for catching walleye.

I’ve done some jigging for walleye with shad and worms, that worked pretty well. I have also used a variety of spinner bates which also worked well. But believe it or not, i caught the most walleye with the banjo minnow.
