What is the Best Live Bait to use when fishing for Walleye?

Posted on Aug 21, 2009 under Walleye Fishing | 7 Comments

I live in wisconsin.

Early in the year, minnows are best. Late spring/early summer: leeches. Summer into fall: leeches/nightcrawlers/minnows. Fall: big minnows

live golden shiners or even baby creek chubs will work well for you. I’ve heard that even leeches do well with walleye.

more than likely minnows. They are easy to find at a store and aren’t to expensive.
