Where is good fishing for walleye on Lake Erie?
Posted on Jul 07, 2009 under Walleye Fishing | 4 CommentsHusband always went to Port Clinton (western basin of Erie) for walleye fishing. Cleveland is much closer (central basin) but he thinks western basin might be better… true? This would be fishing on a headboat, which is cheaper than a charter, but no guarantee of catching fish!
I fish the Marblehead area a lot, very good walleye fishing this year between MH and Kelly’s Is. Not familiar with any head boats in this area. Might try doing a search for Marblehead Chamber of Commerce. Most of the head boats are out of PC but have seen them this year all around Kelly’s becaue that is where the fish are.
Good luck

Drift fishing near upper sandusky with a Erie derie, tip it with a live night crawler.I know that’s not the greatest answer.I would look for where the boats are drifting, also there is a new forum that just started you might want to ask them they could possible help.

One of the best spots to fish is right by dunkirk. Right by the coal factory in that bay at night. You will catch more walleye and smallmouth than you can handle. I have seen numbers of 10 pounders caught right there and it isnt uncommon. good luck
